Caramel Macchiato Martini at Eastside Marios

Really, we don't eat out that often, despite appearances.  You just caught us on a good weekend.

Anyway, we went to Eastside Marios tonight (it's a work thing), and I decided to be daring, hand the car keys over, and have a cocktail.  They had a few on their menu, but the one that caught my eye was their delicious-sounding Caramel Macchiato Martini.

Apparently it was made with
"Baileys® Caramel, Smirnoff® Vanilla Vodka and Lavazza Espresso shaken to a froth and topped with caramel. (1.5oz)"
which does sound good, doesn't it?

Well, appearances can be deceiving, my friends, because really it was thoroughly "meh".  Not horrible, but really not that great either.  It was frothy, but too coffee-ey and not particularly sweet.  $6.99 well spent?  Should have just had a beer frankly.  An ice-cold, "intemerate", imported beer.  Mmmmm.  Beer.

My next cocktail will be a delicious blend of beer and beer, chilled, not shaken but frothy anyway, and topped with beer.  Heavenly.
